After an exhausting search for the Stardoll fashion packs (for like a WHOLE HALF AN HOUR), and NOT seeing them on the Mattel site/Mattel store, and finding that the website is based in Sweden, and wondering if was even a Mattel product at ALL, I decided to just call Mattel and ask directly about their involvement u_u
The sweet lady I spoke with (Linda) said that they were indeed Mattel dolls, and could be seen on the Barbie Collector site (just a news article though). Personally, I think its funny that you call Mattel and they look up on the website to answer your questions. She DID look though, unlike the last person I spoke with who seemed more eager to get off the phone.
Anyway, she finally found the fashion packs I was looking for but couldn’t say whether or not they’d be available anytime soon. She said if they weren’t at retailers, they’d go to bargain stores, so its wise to keep checking Ross, Marshalls, etc.
(Trust me, Linda, I DO.)
Then I mentioned that I was looking because I run a blog and we were talking about the fashion packs and she said “Oh, you run a blog? Like give reviews and discuss new products?”
(Of course I said yes)
"Well, let me get your information and we’ll see what we can do for you!" (They took my name, address, phone number, email and blog name).
O_o What they can do for me?
At this point, I mentioned it was a mostly-Monster High blog, and that they were verrry popular right now (“Yes they are!” she sang. I love when the CSRs are proud of their company ^_^). She took all my info and did a couple more checks, of service.mattel.com (found the 2nd wave fashion pack but there was no option to buy it), and we concluded that I’d just have to keep scouring discount stores cause if they’re out there, that’s where they’d be.
And so, the search continues….
But srsly, what if they let me be one of the reviewers that gets stuff early and gets to do market research and eeeeeee!!!!!. I better go erase all the cuss words and rants XD
