…I have an opposite of scalping story. I had gotten a DOTD Clawdeen back in the day when MH was even harder to find, and she had two right shoes on. I called up Mattel and they gave me a voucher for a doll, no questions asked. I proceeded to my nearest Target after receiving the voucher. The had the re-release first wave Clawdeen, and I thought, hey I could use a second one, since they had changed her face. I picked it up and put it in my cart, when a little girl came around the corner with her dad saying “I wish they had the first Clawdeen one, that’s the only one I need, then I have them all” I could tell there was obvious disappointment in her voice. I was touched, and since I didn’t need her (and asking her dad first if it was okay) I gave her the Clawdeen and my voucher. Her face lit up like nothing I have ever seen, and I think I did the right thing there.
