I really don’t see how one can look at the MH fandom and think its not enough of a community or we’re not doing enough.
Just NSS alone is proof that we come together, shed our “shyness" (cause honestly I didn’t know what 90% of y’all looked like until then), and show that we are proud of our dolls and our collections. Hell, the CREATOR of Monster High signed on at that point! And has reposted art, and cosplay, and (embarrassingly enough) memes, and takes part in NSS.
Aside from that, we have our dolls, our tumblrs, our art gods and goddesses, our photos, our enthusiasm, our hopes and dreams for fashion packs and new dolls, our customs and repaints and, every now and then, a meet-up for furious doll hunting. We help out parents in the MH aisle and write to Mattel about their issues and out scalpers and trade dolls etcetcetc. Who could ask for anything more?
So if someone thinks we’re “too small" or “too shy", maybe THEY aren’t reaching out enough.
