So as I said, I got a chance to meet the head designer for Monster High, Garrett Sanders. It was really one of the highlights of Power-Con for me. After gushing for a minute about the line, I was able to ask him about Mattel, and getting a job there. He said the same thing Scott Neitlich did. Basically, keep trying to apply. Get experience, and Keep trying. I told him that if he ever had sometime I would love to talk to him about the MH line, working at Mattel, and the industry in general. Sadly he didn’t have a business card on him, but I had mine. So I gave him one.
It was really awesome, like not only did I meet the HEAD DESIGNER for the brand I wanna work for, and got to ask him a few questions, but now if I ever see him again, I can mention Power-Con and hope he remembers me. XD
Somebody get me some toast, it’s getting all sorts of Jelly on my dash!
