Monster High might not be a perfect feminist work but it does instill in young girls the importance of friendships with other girls and that’s a wonderful thing
also for a cast comprised of mostly monsters, it does manage to be more racially diverse than most doll lines
It’s not above criticism but I’m so proud of what it’s achieved
yeah this! and it does a great job of normalizing body modification and stuff. they don’t really TALK about characters’ piercings/etc., they’re just… there.
And they do the same thing with scars.
